Experienced Maintenance Assistant / Facilities Maintenance Techs needed! Our client in Poughkeepsie is looking for maintenance technicians that have experience in electrical and light HVAC to assist with installs and repairs at an apartment complex. This is a maintenance/repair position - not cleaning or janitorial! The work will include painting, wall repair, landscaping, repairing and installing lighting. Assisting with turning over apartments that have been vacated other tasks may be requested from management. In order to be successful, the Maintenance Assistant must: • Have previous work-related experience, preferably repairing appliances • Have knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair • Be able to communicate effectively and work independently to accomplish a large amount of tasks • Have knowledge of safety hazards and precautions • Have HS Diploma or equivalent • Clean and valid driver’s license The Maintenance Assistant must be able to lift 50lbs, stand on their feet for long periods, have good manual dexterity and strong attention to detail. This is a full time, temp-to-hire opportunity. Pay rate is $21 per hour.
