Our client Tuxedo, NY, is seeking a Maintenance Technician. This is a public property so the right candidate must be personable as they will regularly interact with administration, parents, children and coworkers. In this role, job duties/repairs will include: • Preventative and restorative maintenance • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical, structural, or mechanical issues • Performing grounds maintenance sometimes using outdoor power equipment to mow, weed whack, weed, water • Cleaning and maintaining the property including sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, buffing • Monitoring building security and safety You must have a clean driving record and a driver’s license as occasionally, you will be asked to use a company vehicle to travel off property to pick up parts, make deliveries and gas up vehicles. Previous work-related experience and knowledge of electrical wiring plumbing, and construction will contribute to your success. You must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds, as some equipment may be heavy or bulky. This position and work environment is not for someone looking for a sedentary job – it requires quite a bit of climbing and crouching. This is a full-time position. Hours are 8am-5pm. Pay rate starts at $20 per hour but may be more depending on your experience. Please apply for immediate consideration!
