Shallow Sport Boats is a boat manufacturing company that is currently hiring a full-time Parts Assistant. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Responsible for accurately tracking incoming and outgoing products • Reconciling any discrepancies in inventory data • Report all shortages and deficiencies to the Inventory Manager • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Accurate typing skills • Maintains and enforces all safety standards and regulations. • Maintains area in a clean, safe and efficient manner at all times. • Adheres by company policies and procedures. • Puts safety first. • Makes an effort to set a good example of others. • Respects others. • Able to work as a team. • Learns each task requirement to perform the job right. • Takes responsibilities for team’s mistakes. • Identifies waste and takes action to correct. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: • Ideally, have some previous experience working in inventory control. • The position requires precision and is very detail oriented. • Read and write in the English and good communication skills • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written and oral form. • Must be able to read inventory lists • Good problem solving skills and communication. • Must understand measurements • Ability to multi-task and be comfortable in a fast-paced work setting. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve basic practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or visual form. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those and employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a Fiberglass manufacturing place.
