Enjoy a wonderful evening of music with the AVB Community Band and vocalist Amelia Gibbons on Monday, Oct. 18, at the Ashwaubenon PAC. Free! Monday, Oct. 18, 7 p.m. FREE, with donations accepted Theme: “Of Dreams and Nightmares” Featuring vocalist Amelia Gibbons The 75-member all-volunteer AVB Community Band invites the public to its free concert titled “Of Dreams and Nightmares” on Monday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m. at the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center, 2391 S. Ridge Road in Ashwaubenon. Doors open at 6 p.m. It is the second concert of our 2021-22 season. The concert is sponsored by Coldwell Bankers Real Estate Group. Donations will also be accepted. (The band was formerly known as the Allouez Village Band.) Featured music includes “Aladdin,” “Wicked,” “Star Trek Through the Years,” “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “The American Dream.” We are also proud to feature returning vocalist Amelia Gibbons, a Southwest High School junior, who wowed the AVB audience three years ago as an eighth grader. She will perform selections from “Les Miserables” and the spiritual “Deep River.” “Our vocalist, Amelia Gibbons, is part of the ‘dream-theme.’ Her dream is to perform professionally in musical theatre,” said Mike Ajango, director of the AVB Community Band. “I've known Amelia for several years and I think she has what it takes to make it happen.
