Welcome to Copper Mountain, Colorado for Urban Winterfest 2022 - "Embracing the Dream" Presented by the National Brotherhood of Skiers - Western Region, this year's event will feature some of your favorites with a mix of new activities. Come prepared to "sit a spell" in this region known for 'digging for silver'. This event, dedicated to the legacy of Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., covers 5 fun-filled days and 4 exciting nights at the Copper Mountain Ski Resort in Colorado. This extended weekend is our annual fundraiser event and features themed activities, real snow and fun on the slopes! Some of this event activities include: Welcome party, skiing, snowboarding, cross country, MLK, Jr. commemorative breakfast, youth activities, evening party, networking, après ski party, dancing, NFL Playoffs party, great food and drinks and oh - Don't forget about the skiing/snowboarding/cross country. Official NBSWR Urban Winterfest page SnowBusters Ski Club is one of over fifty clubs associated with the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS). The mission of this national nonprofit organization with over 3,500 members is: “To identify, develop and support athletes of color who will WIN Olympic and international winter sports competitions representing the United States and to increase participation in winter sports.” The NBS is recognized by the ski industry as one of the largest ski organizations and its Summit as the largest gathering of skiers and riders, more than any other ski convention in the United States. Our fundraisers allow us to sponsor outdoor activities such as skiing/snowboarding, camping and hiking trips for underprivileged youth in Pasadena and the surrounding communities. We believe by exposing our local youth to alternative outdoor activities, we are providing them with the tools to expand their horizons beyond their neighborhoods.
