I am still making my decision but I may consider rehoming my Beige chinchilla Ollie. He comes with his ferret nation cage filled with kiln dried pine ledges and huts, metal pans & urine guards from bass equipment pro, and his Timothy hay oxbow hut. He’s a very sweet boy who came from a breeder in Ohio, he’s 7 months. They live 16-20 years. They can’t have plastic what so ever, and no fruits, veggies, seeds or nuts. He’s on Oxbow chinchilla pellets (red bag) and eats Alfa Alfa or Timothy hay. He will come with a lot of apple sticks, lava ledge chews and many more chew toys. Chinchillas can only have certain toys/ woods to chew on, as well as treats ( which he will come with) most of the safe treats he can only have 1-3 a week, others must be used VERY sparingly. He will also have his dust bath & container that will come with him, as well as a carrier. He’s a sweet boy, likes to jump in your hands and hang out on your shoulder and loves chin and head “scritches”. He doesn’t like being held. Must allow him to come to you on his terms or else bonding with him will become a nightmare. Overall he’s pretty outgoing. He’s nocturnal so he does hate being bugged during the day time. I also have two fleece sets for his cage and a big bag of kiln dried pine bedding if you don’t want to use just the pans. Considering his cage setup was over $700 and him being $500 himself, I will be asking a rehoming fee. As what I will be asking is a steal for a chinchilla and everything he needs to be properly taken care of. If anyone is interested please pm me. Thank you.
