Summary: This position seeks to meet the AbilityOne requirement of creating employment opportunities for people with significant disabilities. Responsible for keeping assigned facilities in clean and orderly condition. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Work in coordination with the Project Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: • General cleaning of building and maintaining it in good condition. • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors. • Clean and disinfect restrooms. • Empty garbage. • Strip, seal, and finish floors, as requested. • Ensure doors are locked after work is completed. • Clean up spills/stains with appropriate equipment. • Perform minor repairs. • Notify Project Manager of major repairs. • Notify Project Manager to obtain approval of any schedule changes. • Complete tasks in a timely manner. • Inventory supplies to ensure sufficient items are available. Notify Project Manager when supplies are needed. • Document and report safety incidents. • Comply with work rules and company policies. • Follow all policies, procedures, and directives of Good Works, Inc. assuring safety of personnel or property. • Properly wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). • Maintain agency confidentiality. Violation of confidentiality is cause for immediate dismissal. • Comply with and promote good safety practices. Maintain an orderly work area. Comply with all health, safety and fire standards and all local, state, and federal regulations (WISHA & OSHA). • Other duties as assigned. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. In coordination with the Project Manager, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to direct individuals with or without direct disabilities. Physical Demands: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Vision requirements: distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
