How to photograph horses workshop This workshop is open to those who are interested in photographing horses, and is limited to 15 people. All levels of experience and any kind of camera (smartphone, point and shoot, DSLR/mirrorless) are welcomed. Using presentation, example, discussion, and hands on practice, we will focus on the basics for photographing horses and the creative process: •Safety •Exposure •Perspective •Creative use of light •Composition •Tricks to get the horse to pose •Editing •Hands on practice photographing the horses at the farm The workshop will be taught by D. John McCarthy, M. Photog, Cr., ABI, API. He is the owner of Long Leash Pet Photography and the Director of the Valley Photo Center, http://thevalleyphotocenter.com, a co-sponsor of the workshop. Photographing Horses will be held at and is sponsored by Full of Grace Farm, https://fullofgracefarm.com, at 106 Roosevelt Street, Hadley MA 01035 This workshop is a fundraiser for Full of Grace Farm's rescued horses. All proceeds will go to the feed, care & medical needs of the horses. (No refunds.) (Rain Date November 14, 2021) Please register by November 5. NOTE: This workshop will be in unheated areas in & around the barn. Please wear/bring: your coat, outdoor shoes and a fully charged camera (spare battery and memory card if applicable).
