Description

Hey! My girlfriend and I are musicians who have created a lot of great music that we will be recording for an album this November, but we would love to have more layers of other instruments in our music, and would love to collaborate and explore more sounds and ideas with other creatives and musicians. Perhaps even create new music together! Our band name is The HighersElves so you can imagine foresty folk with spiritually conscious intention and lyrics. I can send raw samples of some of our music and see if it interests or inspires you! I play the guitar, banjo, violin, ukulele, and dabble on some other instruments. And my girlfriend plays harp and piano, and we both sing. Would love to collaborate with resonant people who play any of the following: cello, flute, any horns, percussion (drum set, djembe, bongo drums, etc.), mandolin, accordion, viola, and really any instrument that may fit the vibe. Some of our favorite artists and music that we feel resonates with our music, include: Trevor Hall, Of Monsters & Men (My Head is an Animal album), Sufjan Stevens (Illinois & Seven Swans albums), Baptiste Sejourne - Kura Kura, Agnes Obel, The Paper Kites (their older folky style)... If you mix all those up and then also add a sorta mystical fantasy vibe from people with some potent spiritual insight to share, that’s pretty much a way to give an idea what we’re into musically and have been creating. We already have 4 albums worth of awesome songs (more or less finished), but we want them to feel more complete with more layers of magic and some orchestral touches. We just need those extra instrumentalists to help bring it to life!! And to possibly create more new music together! Please reach out if this sounds like something you might be interested in, and we can talk from there! Thanks so much! Brian & Rhapsody - The HighersElves
