Learn how to grow different varieties of mushrooms in your own home! Join us for our first indoor, low-tek mushroom cultivation workshop in Durham! Learn to grow gourmet and medicinal mushrooms like Lion's Mane, Oysters, Reishi, and Turkey Tail in your own home. No special equipment required. A great course for people who would like to grow their own food throughout the winter or for apartment growers without traditional garden space. Led by Karly of Mutual Mycology. Everyone will leave with: -1 Mushroom Grow Kit (your choice of Lion's Mane, Pink Oyster, Reishi, or Turkey Tail, buy the correct ticket! Includes a humidity tent and spray bottle.) -Mutual Mycology Mushroom Cultivation Guide (10 page, detailed guide on cultivation techniques) -Mushroom Species Guide (List of 10+ commonly cultivated mushroom with grow specs: compatible substrates, containers, colonization speeds, fruiting temps, humidity levels, incubation and fruiting timetables, fresh air levels, etc.) -Access to Mutual Mycology FB Group (Members ask questions & post photos of their grows.) The Hub Farm is a project within Durham Public Schools, spearheaded by Career-Technical Education and guided by a small staff and community advisory team. The Hub Farm engages Durham Public School students and teachers, and the greater Durham community in all aspects of the local food system,environmental stewardship and career development.
