Description
This is an informational course to help educate the average citizen on first aid & trauma care so they can be better prepared to help others Flytrap Firearms Training is proud to announce our Trauma Response & Emergency First Aid for the Average Citizen class sponsored by Rescue Essentials. We are firm believers that everyone should have at least a basic knowledge of first aid including how to treat massive trauma, hemorrhaging, and other things that you could encounter in your daily travels. This especially applies to those of you that carry a firearm for self defense. If you know how to make holes, you should know how to plug them. You are FAR more likely to use first aid skills in an emergency than your gun-fu skills. These are skills you may find useful around your home, workplace, or even if you encounter a bad car wreck. You never know where you will be able to help someone. The instructor for this class is Amber Johnson. Amber is a former Marine Biologist that worked for the NC Aquarium with knowledge of how to treat animal bites (Including venomous snakes). She is now a Wilmington Firefighter, she is EMT certified, and is one of Wilmington's newest S.W.A.T. Medics. Price: The class is 80$/Person. Each person will not only gain life saving knowledge, but they will also receive a brand new CAT tourniquet from North American Rescue. Time: 8am-5pm. The class will begin promptly at 8am, and is roughly going to be an 8 hour class, with a 1 hour lunch. Max Occupancy: There are only 20 available slots for this class. What to Bring: You may want to bring paper & pen to take notes. Feel free to bring your own first aid kit if you would like the instructor to look at it and help you figure out what to keep/add/toss. Light refreshments will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own. Just always remember to clean up after yourself and respect the classroom.
