Jazz up the holiday season with T-Ray the Violinist and a fabulous dinner. Style, class, and confidence are just a few of the characteristics that come to mind when people hear the name T-Ray The Violinist. As an artist, T-Ray’s journey has cultivated an organic, unorthodox relationship with an instrument whose history is deeply rooted in classical music. A product of the 90s Hip-Hop and RnB era, T-Ray’s first auditory encounters included the likes of A Tribe Called Quest, Jay-Z, Usher and Brandy, just to name a few. His parents influenced him as well being of the generation of such greats as Michael Jackson, Prince, Anita Baker, Sade, Frankie Beverly & Maze, all of which gave way to the exposure of sounds from the 1960s-1980s. T-Ray curated his first tour “The Make a Way Tour” (Fall 14’) and released his debut mixtape “Unexpected Sounds Volume I” and completed the European “Fish and Chips Tour” with music partner DJ RQAway as the duo Progressive Existence in Spring 2015. Following the European tour T-Ray release a house music inspired EP entitled “The House of Dreams” which set the stage for The House of Dreams Tour (late Spr 15’) and "T-Ray Takes L.A." (Summer 15’). In between touring, T-Ray has graced the stages of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Essence Festival, French Quarter Fest, Voodoo Festival, and Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival. Those performances afforded him the opportunity to work with talents from Atlantic Records, RCA Records, Universal Records and opening for the likes of Wale, DJ Mannie Fresh, Erykah Badu, Dead Prez, David Banner, 3DNatee and Curren$y just to name a few. He has also worked with notable homegrown New Orleans based artists such as, Big Freedia, the Grammy Nominated Tank and the Bangas, and Waterseed. Additionally, T-Ray has teamed up with a multitude of talents and entities to include Actor/Artist Hill Harper, comedian/host Sheryl Underwood, Estelle, Con Funk Shun, and Chef G Garvin of the Food Network. T-Ray’s diligent work has cultivated booking calls from the New Orleans Saints, New Orleans Pelicans, BET, At&T, star athlete parties and weddings, Fortune 500 companies, real estate investors and fitness gurus who have grown to love and appreciate the his sound, along with the time, dedication, and work that he continues to put in. T-Ray is a passionate and resilient visionary with an unwavering dedication to his craft. An innovative musical talent, T-Ray the Violinist has taken audiences’ favorite genres and masterfully fused them together to produce an experimental sound like no other.
