CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE – PART TIME WORK / GOOD PAY

I am an architect/contractor building and maintaining a few houses in the Joshua Tree area and some in Palm Springs area. I have ongoing projects and need help a few days a week. It isn’t a full time job, but it pays better than most part time work and it is a stable, respectful positive situation. Of course, It is construction work, so there are hard days and easy days - great for someone in the area who has their own pursuits/side business but wants to do some physical work a few days a week for cash pay. Production construction experience is good, but we are working on custom buildings and doing unique tasks that are not spec house construction methods. I will be working alongside most of the time, so if we can communicate well that is 90% of it - most important is a good attitude and basic skills, comfort with power tools, and craftsmanship. I do this work because I like it- I want to work with people who can get into it, have a good attitude, laugh and talk a bit, and get the work done. Immediately, I am scheduled every Tuesday/Wednesday for the next few months. I need a commitment to be available for that at a minimum. I have been doing this work for over a decade and most of my partners I have taken on have turned long-term and become more autonomous working extra days on their own schedule. My “interview” process is that you just come out and work one day for pay... and we see how it goes. Pay is $18 per hour.
