The Town of Lincoln is celebrating its 150th Anniversary with a parade and post-parade food truck and concert event on Saturday, October 30t The parade begins at 10:00 am ending at Chase Farm around 11:30am. Our post parade event will have a wide variety of food trucks, beer and wine and music from summer concert favorite Next Stop Band, a “Touch a Truck”, and performances by Trend N Motion hip hop dance group. The event at Chase Farm begins immediately following the parade and will end at 3:30pm. The parade route will follow our typical Memorial Day Parade route (newly established in 2018). It will begin at the corner of Higginson Ave. and Smithfield Ave. traveling north on Smithfield Ave., turning east onto Walker Street, turning north on Chapel Street, then merging onto Great Road, and ending at Chase Farm. A review stand for floats will be stationed across from the old Larry’s Lincoln Auto at Gateway Park, 487 Great Road. Road closures to all traffic on the route begins at 9:30am and will run until the parade concludes. The roadway between Chase Farm (667 Great Road) and the review stand at Gateway Park (487 Great Road) will remain closed until pedestrian traffic clears. For safety reasons, pedestrian traffic along Great Road will be prohibited Once Great Road reopens for traffic at approximately 11:45 a.m. Chase Farm will be accessible at all times; however, anyone wishing to access the farm after 9:30 a.m. and before the road opens back up should do so from the west (Breakneck Hill Road side). You will not be allowed to access Chase Farm from the east (Front Street side). The remaining section of the parade route will be closed to traffic until the parade passes Gateway Park. Parade onlookers are encouraged to park at Bellows Funeral Home, St Judes Church or Lonsdale Park, all a short walk from the review stand at Gateway Park. There will also be parking available at the lower portion of Chase Farm. Shuttles will be provided after the parade to bring attendees from Chase Farm to the designated parking areas (Bellows, St Judes, and Lonsdale). Shuttles will be leaving every 15 minutes from the front of Chase Farm. Please note that the shuttles will not be running before and during the parade. Shuttles will only run after the parade concludes. Smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited. Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted per town and state law.
