Lineup begins at 5:30 p.m.Judging is to begin at 6:00 p.m. in the UTM Football Parking LotParade will begin at 7:00 p.m.Parade will proceed east on University Street, turn left on Lindell Street and continue through downtown Martin.Entry fee: $5.00 Deadline for entries: Tuesday, November 30thThree floats in each of commercial and non-commercial divisions will be awarded prizes judged on the following categories:
Demonstration of Parade ThemeOriginalityWorkmanshipOverall appearanceCreativity and use of colorBest demonstration of Christmas spiritMost beautifulParticipation and enthusiasm of entry workers/riders/walkersOverall attractivenessIn addition, one vehicle (not a float) will receive a prize as best decorated vehicle!
For safety purposes for the spectators and participants, DO NOT throw candy or other articles from your entry. Violating entries will be disqualified from judging and asked to leave the parade immediately. We ask that members of your organization walk along side your entry and distribute treats to the parade spectators.
Santa has already been contacted and has promised to be part of this parade. Please do not include another Santa in your entry.
