CLEARWATER, FL — Two homeless people have been arrested after the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said they broke into the Pinellas County Justice Center Sunday. According to investigators, at 8:34 p.m., deputies received a call from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office court security unit about a break-in at the front entrance of the justice center at 14250 49th St. N., Clearwater. When patrol deputies arrived, they found the front door shattered and 47-year-old Catherine Adams inside. Deputies then entered the courthouse where they found and arrested 49-year-old William Atkins. Deputies said Atkins used a small piece of rebar to shatter the glass door to get inside. Neither made it past the security checkpoint inside the building. They've been charged with armed burglary of a structure.
