Press release from Fairfax County Public Schools: October 07, 2021 The October 7, 2021, regular meeting opened up with a performance of the National Anthem by the Annandale High School Singers under the direction of Patrick Vaughn. The Fairfax County School Board voted to direct(link is external) the Superintendent to establish a staff position in the Department of Special Services to support the Assistant Superintendent in managing public health related work in the school division utilizing ESSER III funds. The School Board approved a resolution honoring LGBTQ+ History Month. The School Board approved a resolution honoring National Dyslexia Awareness Month.
