LITTLETON, CO — The Littleton City Council is set to consider a noise ordinance on second reading Tuesday, and a public hearing will seek community feedback. A temporary ordinance — which allows for higher noise levels between noon and 10 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for businesses in the Main Street Historic District — would become permanent on Fridays and Saturdays if the ordinance passes, the city said. Littleton city staff recommended the approval of the higher noise level after they measured sound levels throughout the spring and summer, and gathered feedback on the impact of the increased sound levels. No complaints were received. The public hearing is set to be held during the council meeting, which starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Littleton Center, 2255 West Berry Avenue. Like what you're reading? During the second reading, staff give a presentation and then answer questions from the city council.
