SAN RAMON, CA — A weather-related power outage struck 3,800 Pacific Gas & Electric Co. customers in San Ramon Monday afternoon amid a wind advisory in the Bay Area. The outage began around 1:20 p.m. It affected homes west of Interstate Highway 680 from Norris Canyon Road to just north of Pine Valley Road. The outage also touched homes west of I-680 near Crow Canyon Road and extended into Las Trampas Regional Wilderness, according to the PG&E outage map. PG&E is headed to the site of the outage. The estimated power restoration time was 7:15 p.m. Earlier Monday, nearly 2,100 PG&E customers lost power in Dublin and Pleasanton. Tri-Valley is also covered by a red flag warning, which means any fires sparked could spread quickly amid dry, windy weather. The Alameda County Fire Department responded Monday morning to a wildfire along Altamont Pass Road. This is a developing story. Check back for updates or view the PG&E outage map.
