ORLAND PARK, IL — Crime, conspiracy and thrill seekers, the Village of Orland Park History Museum is hosting a new program that may catch your eye.
To kick off the Halloween season, the museum is introducing a special program called "A Killer Among Us: Killers, Fiends, and Weirdos of the Victorian Era." The program will take a dive into Chicago-area criminals.
The museum said that the "Victorian era" gave our city much to cherish, as well as despise.
"This period in history gave us a bizarre cast of characters," the museum said. "From America's first serial killer...to the Lake View Vampire...to the Sausage Vat Murderer...and more, all of which you will learn about in this presentation."
The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21. There is an entrance fee of $10 for museum members and $15 non-members. The event will be held at the museum, located at 14415 Beacon Ave., Orland Park.
Purchase a ticket online, here. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the event. See more about the event on the Orland Park History Museum's Facebook page.
