Anyone else notice that the water in Springfield tastes like detergent

I have checked around and it isn't just in my neighborhood. The municipal water supply apparently added another water source, but now the tapwater everywhere tastes like detergent. I've compared to bottled water, and it isn't just my own sense of taste. This started a few days ago. Many people don't seem to care, but I thought I would see if there were any other people with functioning taste buds in the area who aren't keen on drinking detergent flavored water.
