HORSEBACK RIDING INSTRUCTOR - Lockhart, TX Maverick Horseback Riding is an existing student program functioning for the past three years. We are looking to IMMEDIATELY hire a part time instructor (Saturdays and Sundays) at $20 per hour. Candidate should be an experienced rider with experience teaching English riding. We preferably would like you to have experience Western saddling and trail riding. Instructor should possess a strong passion for the well-being of the horses. You will focus on safe groundwork with the horses, flatwork routines and the maintenance/handling of the gear. Experience should include: • teaching beginner and intermediate riders at the walk, trot and cantor • teaching straightness training, transitions, proper leads and two pointing • teaching the fundamentals of hunter jumper • setting up Cavaletti poles • eventing Candidate should be willing to work in a fast paced environment and able to act with immediacy.
