Warehouse & Parts Delivery Personnel Position Description, v. 12/15/16 ABcom, a prominent provider of design and build of business critical network infrastructures for data centers and all business types is looking to add a Part-Time Warehouse & Parts Delivery Personnel to its growing team. Purpose of this position: The Warehouse Personnel provides material, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services. Assists Project Manager and Technicians by receiving or picking up material and delivering to job sites. Contributes to Operations team by creating purchase orders. Improves and maintains warehouse organization and cleanliness. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. Hours will vary depending on demand, but typically a total of 24-30 hours weekly, with a flexible schedule. Scope of the position: This position reports to the Director of Operations. Knowledge and Skills (Minimum requirements): • Education, credentials, licenses: High School Diploma and 18 years of age, minimum. Forklift certifications and BS Degrees in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration highly regarded. • Specialized knowledge: Low voltage products and materials, preferred. Knowledge of Commscope, Leviton, and Aruba products a plus. • Experience: Hands on experience with warehouse management software/databases, preferably BarCloud. Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives. Hands on forklift experience. Basic building repair a plus. • Skills: Resourceful, Flexible, Accountable, Dependable, Clear and Effective Communication, Organized and Detail Oriented, Self-starter, Planning, Excel, Product Knowledge, Inventory Control, Building Repair Responsibilities: • Organizes the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehoused goods. • Creates purchase orders • Administers stock controls • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. • Sets up layout and ensure efficient space utilization, inspecting equipment, and issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. • Keeps warehouse clean and organized, ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness, and security of the work environment. • Other duties as assigned by Director of Operations. Matrixed ABcom relationships: Contributes to Operations team on an as-needed basis. Builds relationships with shipping partners to aid in delivery and ensure correctly packaged material. Coordinates with Project Managers and Technicians to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery, as well as with Operations on forecasted product and equipment. Employee must have reliable auto transportation and must maintain an insurable driving record, as well as expect to pass the MNDOT Medical Exam. • Physical and mental requirements: The employee will be required to perform frequent physical labor such as lifting (must be able to lift 75 lbs or more), bending, pulling, ladder and ceiling work, driving, and standing for extended periods of time. Compensation: Hourly pay rate to be determined, based on experience and education.
