The City of Ashland is seeking a full-time temporary/seasonal worker needed to perform City street inspections. Work is performed Monday – Thursday and a set schedule is available between 6:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for shifts. We are open to flexible shifts within those days and times. Please apply ONLINE at www.ashland.or.us Perform visual inspection and assess status of City streets related to repair of streets, sidewalks, storm drains and rights-of-way; record and report maintenance required such as sweeping, resurfacing, pavement patching, crack sealing, concrete forming/finishing, and removing vegetation and repair and replace of various street and regulatory signs, posts, and barricades. Walking for the duration of a shift on varied terrain is an essential function of this position. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Position will be physical in nature and will require the ability to follow verbal and written instruction. Performs as a member of the team; acts ethically and responsibly; supports and demonstrates engagement in diversity, inclusion and equity and maintains effective working relationships with others; demonstrates professionalism and respect in all workplace interactions. Arrives to work, meetings, and other work-related functions on time and maintains regular job attendance. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE Education: Possession of a high school diploma or GED. Special Requirements: Must be 18 years or older. License: Possession of valid Oregon Drivers License required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employees to successfully perform the essential functions of this classification.
