Interior Door Project
Cut, hole, route, stain and poly 14 Interior Solid Core 2 panel Arch Cut Alderwood doors + one 36 inch bi-folding door of the same to replace existing luan doors.
I got one door stained and polyed and installed, but I have 4 other doors I cut and started to stain or poly and they didn't come out too well. They should be recoverable with some sanding. They will need to be restained/polyed, and one or two routed for the hinges.
I'm looking to have someone complete the project, who has expertise with staining/Poly, and panel doors. I can install the doors on my own.
I need the following work performed:
1 - 32 inch door - still in plastic - needs to be cut, routed, holes cut, stained, polyed.
6 - 30 inch Doors
1 - cut and stained, holes drilled, routed, needs poly
1 - cut, holes drilled, but stain came out bad - needs sanding, re-staining, poly
4 - in plastic, needs the whole process
3 - 28 inch doors - in plastic, needs the whole process
3 - 24 inch doors
1 - cut, holed, staining came out bad, need sanding, staining, poly
2 - in plastic, needs the whole process
1 - 36 Inch Bifolding door - in box
Needs to be cut to length and width, stained, polyed, installed.
I can cut the holes, router out the hing slots, and install on my own, but wouldn't mind farming out the whole project.
You can do the work here, or pick-up a couple of doors to swap out at a time (use the luan doors as templates). Was hoping to have complete in the next 30 days.
I have the original doors to use as templates.
I'm using a water-based stain and Poly (Not Oil Based). I can purchase the stain (have the match) and the Poly (Sherwin-Williams).
I'm expecting a quality job on the staining and poly, which means it will take some sanding and no bubbles on the poly. These doors need 3 coats of poly.
Thanks and looking forward to working with you.
