We manage about 30 doors in the Ithaca/Lansing area and are looking for some extra help. This is a part time position so you will have flexibility with your current schedule. We need someone who enjoys helping tenants with issues that arise from normal wear and tare; door repairs, appliance updates, sink/toilet repairs and helping coordinate for larger issues such as plumbing, electrical or any other general contractors. Of course there are always the random things that occur where we may need you sooner than later for example if a refrigerator dies or a water line breaks; does not happen often, but it does happen. We will give you a calendar so you can see months in advance when we will need you for specific turnover times. We need you to take pictures of the unit as soon as tenants move out so we can credit their security deposit back appropriately; we will need you to schedule time for cleaners to come through if need be, change locks and take on any additional tasks that may arise. It's ok if you are not a master of all trades! We want someone who is honest about their skill level, we can always hire out electricians, plumbers, roofers etc if you are not 100% sure how to fix/repair/update.
