Hello, I just started my own moving business a few years ago here in Los Angeles and I am looking for someone to take over the labor part of the business. The main duties are driving and loading/unloading the truck. I mostly specialize in single item deliveries and apartment sized moves but sometimes I get occasional homes here and there. The schedule isn't consistent however there is enough work during the month to keep you busy therefore I would need someone with a flexible schedule as work continues to come in (It won't be an on call type job, I will let you know at least a day in advance). I work with a lot of vendors (i.e. designers, fabricators, real estate agents) so its important that you look presentable, have a good attitude, and have self awareness. Above all else its important that you are reliable and show up on time. If you have bad habits/addictions to drugs & alcohol please do not respond. From my experience, those with drug addictions always seem to be the less reliable. I will be working with you in the beginning until you have demonstrated that you are in fact experienced. I am honest and very reasonable and will take care of you if you take care of me. Because its a legit licensed and insured moving company, payment would be made by check every Friday. Also you would need to have a clean driving record as the insurance company will deny you if your record is sketchy. I also get jobs from third party services that require background checks so you must be clean of any violent, theft, or sex crimes. Below are some additional qualifications that the ideal person would have. Must know how to wrap furniture with moving blankets, rubber bands, tape, shrink wrap Must know how to handle furniture properly Must know how to use hand trucks dollies, hand tools, and drill Must know how to disassemble and reassemble furniture correctly Able to safely lift furniture up and downstairs Reliable transportation Must know how to tie down cargo in the truck for transportation If interested please email me your contact details and a quick description of your experience.
