Have fun urban farming for Baltimore! Cityfam is volunteering with Intersection of Change for the month of October to help at the community farm in West Baltimore. Strength to Love II is a community based 1.5 acre farm sitting on a transformed vacant lot that offers employment to community residents and citizens returning from incarceration. The farm also helps to address the food apartheid issue in and surrounding our neighborhood. We will help them with weeding, harvesting produce, seeding, clearing areas, turning compost, and washing/packaging produce. There is no age minimum, although if children are under 18 they will need their parents to sign the waiver for them. Please all volunteers wear close-toed shoes and long pants, and bring sunscreen, water, and gardening gloves if you have them. REQUIRED WAIVER: please complete and send to [email protected]
