24 October, 2021

Description

See the leaves change, drink cider, and meet fellow riders of the Tribe. The leaves are changing, apples are blooming, the Chagim have passed. Lets hop on our bikes and enjoy the glories of Autumn. We'll meet in the Union Market parking lot (1309 5th street NE), ride through some leafy neighborhoods on our way to the Arboretum just as it hits peak foliage. We'll end with cider and food trucks at DC's own Supreme Core Cider. This slow, social ride for generations X, Y, and Z is suitable for cyclists of all levels. It's the perfect way to make new friends, get comfortable with city riding, find new biking buddies -- or just to "do Jewish" in a whole new way. We'll explore about 8-ish miles of DC -- parts you may not see every day (or you'll see them in a whole new way). And as always, it's FREE! (Whoop!) No bike? No problem! The ride starts and ends near Cap Bikeshare docs and we'll make sure you don't break the 30-minute rule. --- If you're joining us for the ride, please bring: A helmet to protect your noggin (it's required... we really like your face) A bike lock for after the ride A costume for freaking out the squares (Optional)Questions? Don't hesitate to reach out: [email protected] Can't make the ride/not a bike rider but want to join us for Happy Hour? Amazing! Register as a non-rider. You'll meet the riders at the Arboretum to walk around or at Supreme Core. Quick note on safety: Because this is a community-organized and lay-led event, every rider is responsible for his or her own safety and the organizers are not liable for any injuries that occur before, during or after the ride. By registering for this event, you agree to those terms. If you have any questions about bike safety, please don't hesitate to reach out. We want to make sure this is a fun, safe, and meaningful experience for everyone!
