Description

Join us to sew a simple crossover apron with a clean bias binding finish Join us to sew a simple crossover apron with a clean bias binding finish. This class is appropriate for beginning sewists but you should have a basic familiarity with machine sewing. Bring your own machine or use one of ours! We will also be introducing the digital projector as a sewing tool by casting the pattern directly onto our fabric for cutting. The Allspice Apron from Hey June Patterns is a crossover full-length apron with front pocket. It looks beautiful in a soft wrinkled linen but works with virtually any woven fabric. It is multi-sized to fit hip widths 32″ – 60″. Make one for yourself or give as a gift to a fellow maker! Bring the following with you to class: 1.5 yards of your chosen (woven) fabric Matching threadEither 6.5 yards of single fold bias tape OR a 23" square of coordinating fabric to make your own bias tape (which we will go over)Virtually any woven fabric would work well, but here is one option if you are stuck for ideas. This class also serves as an introduction to our projector for sewing projects. North End Makers is a community that runs a makerspace in North Seattle. We are an all-volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit. Learn more on our website at https://www.northendmakers.org/ Parking is street parking and plentiful in the area. Proof of vaccination required.
