An opportunity to explore parts of the usually inaccessible Marsh Creek State Historic Park in Brentwood. Enjoy sweeping vistas, rock formations, and flora and fauna in the largest State Historic Park in California. Guide Ger Erickson will lead hikers about 5 miles over moderate terrain. The cost, $20 for adults and $10 for children 7 to 13, will support the Trust's efforts to restore Marsh's 165-year-old Stone House and to open the park.
The John Marsh Historic Trust is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to restoring the 7,000-square-foot sandstone mansion built in 1856 by California pioneer John Marsh, and opening the 3,700-acre Marsh Creek State Park.
