Make & Serve Meals at the VOA Youth Homeless Resource Center After months of not having consistent service projects, we are so thrilled to be able to serve both the VOA Homeless Youth Resource Center and the VOA Center for Women & Children in November. We are serving eight meals through multiple service opportunities. We can't wait to see you there.Come prepared to make and serve with a smile. Wear closed-toe shoes, mask, and comfortable clothing. If you have a Love Lake City T-shirt, this is a great time to sport it. Volunteers ages 16+ only. No photos of the clients (youth staying at the Resource Center). A group photo and task photos of volunteers may be taken during the project as long as no clients are in the photos. Respect the privacy of all youth staying at the center. All food will be purchased by Love Lake City, thanks to the donations raised at the Food Truck Party. No other outside foods are allowed. ♥ __________________________ ***In continuing our mission to raise compassion through service and to serve those experiencing homelessness, addiction, and/ or mental illness, we are making and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner at both the VOA Homeless Youth Resource Center and the VOA Center for Women & Children. VOA Homeless Youth Resource Center. There are more than 4,000 youth experiencing homelessness, due to poverty, health issues, identifying as LGBTQIA+, abuse, neglect, addiction, and many other issues. This project serves to connect us with those individuals and to give them fuel in their lantern so their lights may shine.
