In memory of the one-year anniversary of the Lekki Toll Gate Massacre and the lives cut short on October 20, 2020. 20.10.20: The Declaration of the Nigerian Youth will include an exhibition, live auction, panel discussions, and a screening in remembrance of the lives that were cut short at the Lekki Toll Gate Massacre on October 20, 2020 during the #EndSARS protests in Nigeria. This event seeks to continue the forward-thinking conversations around the pressing issues facing Nigeria and how the Nigerian Youth worldwide play a vital role in the overall development of the country through the medium of visual arts. The 20.10.20 Project intends to raise awareness around the significance of that historic date, but more importantly explore the opportunities on how the Nigerian Youth in the Diaspora and back home can rise to the occasion of meeting the needs of their collective communities for a greater Nigeria.
