Get cooking with Starward whisky... and the founder of the distillery! Women Who Whiskey-LBC is thrilled to partner once again with local Chef Zack Woodruff, for a cooking class at his space in Long Beach. But wait, there’s more! Participants will be cooking a whiskey-infused appetizer and a whisky crème brûlée dessert, while being coached by a French-trained chef and all will be paired with cocktails that you’ll be creating and crafting ---while being coached by Sean O’Connell, brand ambassador for Starward Whisky. It was recently announced that Starward is the NEW Official Whisky Partner of the Michelin Guide. But wait, there’s EVEN MORE: David Vitale, Founder of Starward Whisky will also be in attendance. (Insert us screaming with excitement and awe!) In addition to guiding us through a tasting of Starward whisky, David will share his story and how Starward is on a quest to bring whisky to the dinner table. “Every decision we’ve made in crafting our whiskies has been to first of all elevate the craft of whisky making, then the craft of the cocktail and finally the craft of cuisine. “ This is our fourth time working with Chef Zack and he is definitely a favorite of ours. He’s a professional chef who excels at teaching guests how to prepare amazing, delicious dishes. He has worked at some the top restaurants in the Los Angeles, Orange County, and Denver area, where he learned a large variety of international cuisines. Chef Zack also loves and appreciates whisky and thoughtfully creates recipes to enhance and highlight the spirits we will be cooking with. This is all happening on Friday, 10/15/21, at 6:30 PM in Long Beach and we only have 6 tickets available at $100 a piece + tax and ticketing fees. Ticket prices include every single thing you’ll need for cooking and cocktail crafting. Together we’ll learn, we'll cook, we'll eat, and we'll drink--not necessarily in that order, and every attendee will leave with a copy of chef's recipes for the all the dishes on the menu so you can recreate them at home. We also have 2 tasting only (no cooking) tickets available at $25 each + tax and ticketing fees. These tickets include the whiskey only, This event will be held indoors in Long Beach and is only open to those that are 21+ and who have been vaccinated. Due to limited space, only ticket holders may attend. Please be prepared to show ID + proof of vaccination at the door. All prices are per person. Payment is required to reserve classes and there are no refunds, but tickets are transferable. Please book soon to avoid disappointment. Women Who Whiskey-LBC was launched in October 2019 and is the third California chapter of Women Who Whiskey, an international whiskey appreciation club that Julia Ritz Toffoli started in New York in 2012. There are now a total of 25 wWw chapters world-wide. With over 40-percent of whiskey-drinkers now being women, it was time for women to have a space to become more educated and confident consumers. Women Who Whiskey became exactly that, creating a space for education where women can ask questions in a non-intimidating environment and explore spirits on her terms.
