STEP RIGHT UP, BOILS AND GHOULS!Take a thrill-filled, guide-led, evening tour through the spooktacular Haas-Lilienthal House, transformed into Mayhem Mansion for spooky season! FIVE EVENINGS ONLY!- October 22, 23 and 29, 30 and 31 - Halloween! From 7-11 each night!Scares abound in the dimly lit halls of Mayhem Mansion, where the inhabitants are a little off their rockers! Allow one of our benevolent hosts to gently guide you through the magnificent manse, but beware! You never know who, or what, is lurking in the dark corners, or behind closed doors.After the tour, calm your nerves in our Ballroom saloon, the Spookeasy . Both alcoholic (21+) and non-alcoholic drinks will be available, plus snacks and candy!Advance ticket purchase required. Groups limited to ten.Not recommended for children under 9.Proof of vaccination with ID is required to attend. A mask must be worn throughout the tour.Proceeds go to the continued upkeep and maintenance of the gorgeous Haas-Lilienthal House, under the chilling direction of San Francisco Heritage. Tours are about 20-25 minutes (it seems longer!)and staggered about 10-15 minutes apart. Your tour will begin within the 30-minute slot you register for.Where do I check in? Attendees check in at the main entrance. Present a printed ticket or digital proof of purchase. Is there an age limit? Mayhem Mansion is not recommended for children under 9. Children 9-15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children do not need to show proof of vaccination.Will there be "scare-actors" on the tour? Yes, and they may be too scary for kids under 9 and more sensitive adults. Do you allow groups? Yes! Groups are limited to a maximum of ten attendees. They do not all need to be from the same household.Is the venue ADA compliant/wheelchair accessible? Yes! The ground floor is wheelchair accessible via the Tour Door on the north side of the House. We have an elevator at the basement level to transport to the first and second floors. Please inform someone at check-in for assistance.Can I get a ticket at the door? Possibly, but we prefer that you purchase in advance to reserve a space. Covid-19 Response:SF Heritage and the Haas-Lilienthal House care about the personal health and safety of our attendees and personnel. We're implementing the following guidelines to make the tour as Covid-safe for everyone as possible:All employees, attendants and actors are required to be vaccinated prior to working in the House.Proof of vaccination will be required to enter the premises. Please be prepared to show proof of vaccination and ID when you check in for your tour.Masks are mandatory of all attendees, except children under 2, and must cover both nose and mouth. Masks must be worn the entirety of the tour. If you need a mask, please ask, and we will provide one for your use.Sanitizer will be available at the entrance, exit, near the bathrooms and elevator.High touch areas and bathrooms will be cleaned and sanitized frequently throughout the night.We encourage all attendees to bring their own mask and sanitizer. Built in 1886, the Haas-Lilienthal House is a spectacular Queen Anne Victorian open to the public for tours and events. A National Treasure, it is the only single family residence of the period open to the public in San Francisco. The H-L House is home to the offices of San Francisco Heritage, a nonprofit, member supported organization with a mission to preserve and enhance San Francisco's unique, historic architectural and cultural identity.
