The Queer Revival is a musical event aiming to reclaim spaces of faith that were stolen from the LGBTQ+ community. The Queer Revival is the brain child of queer artist i.V KiNG and was born in the idea of reclaiming spaces of faith that were stolen from the LGBTQ+ community. We believe that queerness is to be celebrated and that we are and have always been unconditionally loved! We believe you don’t have to choose between who you love and what you believe in. LGBTQ+ humans are brilliant unicorns, created exactly as God intended them to be. The Queer Revival is a celebration of that! The Queer Revival will be a night filled with community, live music by i.V KiNG, an affirming talk by Madison Morrigan, & performances by the Queens: Tania Carrington, Kris Kohl, & Liz Anya! There may be tears, there will likely be laughter, and there will definitely be dancing. It’s OUR version of church, so of course there will be drag queens! The goal of The Queer Revival is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for those who want to explore their spirituality and find connection within the walls of the spaces that has excluded our community. Whether you are a member of the LGBTQ+ community, or an ally who believes everyone belongs in these spaces, the Queer Revival is for YOU! We believe that belonging and the ability to question are at the very heart of healthy spirituality and we acknowledge that toxic religion has tried to steal these from the LGBTQ+ community. Our hope is that The Queer Revival can be a step in the healing process and a path towards true inclusion for all. Don’t identify with any religion? You are welcome and wanted. Left the church because you felt unwelcome? Especially you! Don’t believe in God, at all? We don’t care! This is still a place for you. Just want to party and have a great time? Get your party clothes on and join in on the fun! Listen… we totally get it! God, faith, and spirituality can be a sticky subject. We promise to provide a safe space for you to explore. Be sure to snag your tix for The Queer Revival Official After Party! *Proof of vaccination (ie- card or picture of card) or proof of a negative test within 72 hours is REQUIRED for entry. We are requiring that all attendees still mask up, regardless of vaccination status, to continue to prevent the spread and there will be temperature checks at the door.* *The Queer Revival has a zero tolerance policy for hate speech and bullying. By purchasing a ticket you affirm that you identify as either LGBTQ+ or as an Ally and understand that if your behaviors are interpreted as unsupportive you will immediately be asked to leave without a refund. If you refuse to leave you will be considered as trespassing and onsite security will notify law enforcement. * *We are living in strange times and because of that there will be no refunds given if this event must be rescheduled or cancelled for any reason. We know that sounds harsh but we're just a bunch of dreamer bankrolling this on our own dime. However, we're also a bunch of music loving, party maniacs that have been excited for this day for a very long time. We promise to do everything in our power to reschedule as opposed to cancel and appreciate your support and understanding.*
