Description

Learn the basics of woodturning. No experience required. Materials and tools provided. It's gonna be fun! By Appointment ALSO! This regularly scheduled workshop is a 14 hour Class mostly held on Saturday & Sunday, but not always. This workshop can be arranged by appointment for the date and times of your choice. I am very flexible. Contact me at [email protected] This series is a comprehensive survey of the landscape of faceplate and spindle turning and incorporates many of the shorter individual turning classes that focus on single skills or projects. In this class you will learn safe lathe operation and spend the majority of your class time perfecting technique through a series of projects. Topics include proper lathe set-up, spindle and face-plate turning, making a spindle project, bowl turning, making a lidded box and turning a wine glass. All you need to bring is enthusiasm and energy to learn new techniques. All materials are included.  This workshop can also be customized to your specific requirements. MUST BE 18+ YEARS OLD TO ATTEND, OR 16+ WITH A PARENT. "It was a fantastic experience. Way more than I expected I already mentioned to several others, the joy of wood turning and highly recommended it, I wish I knew about it a long time ago I plan to get a few gift cards to friends to experience it." "Roger was a great teacher. He was fun to work with, knowledgeable, and used just the right cues for me to understand what to do. He made it an awesome and unique experience. I will definitely be back for more." "It was great; it exceeded my expectations. I'm hooked; I'll be back for more classes in the future."  My passion is creating with wood. I love the feel of wood, the textures of wood, the character of wood and the smell of wood. Years ago I began making simple utilitarian furniture with simple tools. As my interest grew, my work became more ambitious. In 2007, I started watching a show on PBS's Woodturning Workshop. I was fascinated. For almost a year, I watched them many times. Eventually, I was confident enough to begin my journey. The rest is now History. Now I want to share my passion.
