Hike with us at Carpenter Lake Nature Preserve to raise money to help our planet!
Due to the weather, we didn't get the opportunity to actually go for a hike on the 3rd, so we're scheduling another hiking event, this time at Carpenter Lake Nature Preserve in Southfield on Sunday, October 17th at 1 pm. We'll provide the chance again to participate in the Sierra Club's City Hike-A-Thon event, which is a nationally powered and locally experienced event to raise money to protect our planet. You can feel free to donate or just join us for a nice autumn walk, no pressure! The Sierra Club's recommended donation is $35 a person, but whatever you feel comfortable donating is great! Everyone is welcome, so bring a friend or family member! You may choose to register and donate directly to the Sierra Club's event fundraising page or provide any value donation to Julie or Hannah during the event who will complete a bulk registration. Please note that if you register through the Sierra Club directly you will automatically be enrolled as a member.
Side note: you can always donate to Citizens' Climate Lobby/Education here 😊 That's how our staff in California and DC keep this machine running.
How to find usWe'll meet at the parking lot at Carpenter Lake Nature Preserve (see map on Google Maps).
