Seeking Bassist and Vocalist for Rock Project

Hi there, My name is Matt, and I'm a 31-year-old guitarist. My buddy Rowland (29, drums) and I are seeking a bassist and vocalist for our new project. We play in the Raleigh-based band Sportsmanship currently (https://sportsmanshipnc.bandcamp.com - I actually play bass for this project), but due to family reasons/covid, we're not doing much. We'd like to branch out and start writing and getting out there more. For this new project, we're drawing upon a variety of influences: Lungfish, All Them Witches, Them Crooked Vultures, Sleep, Om, Sabbath, Zeppelin, Whores, Nick Cave, Psychic TV... I could go on. We're not trying to rush into things with this project- we want to take out time and build this piece by piece, ensuring that we have the right people to help us make good music. We aren't interested in running the show- we want all members to contribute to the creative direction equally and meaningfully. That being said, we do have a "vibe" we're going for. The plan would be to establish the lineup, then begin writing, practicing, recording demos, and promoting. We'd like to start playing shows early next year (or sooner, if possible, but again- we're not trying to rush this).
