Description

I need someone to do shopping and other errands, as well as perform some simple household tasks, $17.50/hr. 10-20 hours weekly. I provide a vehicle, or can reimburse you for using your own. Grocery shopping is a must two afternoons a week (spaced out every 3-4 days). Other than that, timing is flexible. There are enough tasks to fill a noon-6pm shift at least x2/week. If you want more hours, there are plenty of tasks I can use help with. If you want short hours spaced over several days, that works too. (Afternoons/evenings only, no mornings.) Here are tasks you can expect: ERRANDS Grocery shopping (usually 2 grocery stores) Occasionally driving me to appointments Mail, UPS, package returns Taking my dog to the vet Filling the car’s gas tank, other minor maintenance Miscellaneous HOUSEHOLD TASKS Unloading groceries into the house, washing vegetables, putting away groceries Moving large bottles of water or heavy packages into the house Dog care (washing + grooming) Minor cleaning + housekeeping Minor outdoor maintenance: filling bird bath, spreading diatomaceous earth, etc. Simple household projects + repairs, as your skills allow Ordering supplies online Scanning + emailing documents Transcribing + printing communication PLEASE BE Eagle-eyed: I have very specific dietary needs, and need you to follow lists carefully Responsible + reliable: show up when you say you will Safe: Your vaccine status is your business, but you must wear a mask around me (I’m immunocompromised); also, have a good driving record Prepared to undergo a background check and provide references Fragrance-free: please only use unscented personal hygiene products (recommendations provided) Capable of moderate lifting Willing to have your phone turned off around me (this isn’t a good fit if you need to be on call for family or other jobs) Ideally, open to a one-year-minimum commitment ***To apply, please send a position-specific cover letter telling me a bit about yourself, why you’re interested in this particular position, and your preferred schedule.
