Join us for a Townhall Discussion with key environmental and policy leaders to discuss the recent events surrounding the oil spill.
California beaches boast a multibillion-dollar value, with unmatchable wildlife and natural resources that guarantee benefits for locals and tourists. Meanwhile, the Huntington Beach oil spill threatens this value: harming wildlife, destroying the natural ecosystem, and challenging property values for residents and pressuring the livelihood of business owners.
The mission of our community-led, town hall event is to provide answers for questions Huntington Beach residents and business owners now face, allowing locals to host an open, honest discussion about how the oil spill has impacted their personal lives and business operations.
Speakers include David Batker, a renowned ecological economist and policy leader who has spent the last 35 years analyzing environmental disasters. Another featured panelist is Alex Straus, an attorney who filed the first class action representing Huntington Beach residents and business owners impacted by the oil spill.
