To seekers, skeptics, and pilgrims in Salem, Keizer, Woodburn, and beyond; The people of Christ the King, a new church plant here in Salem, OR, would like to offer a free, 8-week course on the foundations of the Christian belief and practice. This course is intended for adults who are not religious, who are new to the faith, or who are trying to re-learn the basics of Christianity. These eight weeks will cover the person and work of Jesus Christ, the authority of the Bible and creeds, the contents of the Apostles Creed, the practice of sacraments, the meaning of the Lord’s Prayer, the vision of human flourishing in the Ten Commandments, and the doctrines of justification and sanctification. Place and time for the eight weekly meetings will be determined by the needs of participants. Refreshments will be either provided or paid for, and participants will be given their own copy of To Be a Christian, our catechism book.
