Needed: tough person to help rescue my car

I am having trouble with an auto mechanic in Southern NH. He wants a huge amount of money to release my car. There is no contract and the amount he is seeking is ridiculous. I would like to hire someone, preferably very large and with a very serious New Bedford attitude, to go up with me and get the car (and follow me in it back down here since we'll then have two cars). I just do not want any more BS from this guy. I will need about 4 hours of your time, from roughly 1pm to 5pm tomorrow. I can pretty easily pick you up and drop you off. You won't have any expenses; just tell me what's fair to take some time out of your afternoon.
