Study for women laid off from hospitality/retail due to COVID-19

Ph.D. student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is conducting a research study to understand how women in the hospitality and retail industries experience employment disruptions. Payment of $30 Visa gift card for your time. You may be eligible if you are a woman age 25 to 64, who lost a non-supervisory job with a hotel, restaurant/bar, or retail establishment in Greater Boston, or whose work situation was disrupted, because of your employer’s response to COVID-19 (e.g., your workplace closed, your position or shift was eliminated, or you were placed on temporary layoff). You may or may not be working again in a different job. The study involves one 2-hour interview at a time and location of your choice. Participation is confidential and voluntary.
