Mad Hatter Garden Designs is looking for a passionate, experienced Crew Leader We are a small landscaping business with 20 year’s experience, dedicated to ORGANIC gardening and specializing in high-end residential design, installation, and maintenance. We do not mow lawns! The Crew Leader is responsible to provide the best possible and safest work environment for the crew while providing outstanding client service. This is a “working Crew Leader” position meaning working directly with the crew to complete daily tasks. Time management is crucial. You are involved in the hiring, training, direction, management, production, discipline, and termination of the crew. The Crew Leader is expected to be familiar and comply with the State of Oregon employment laws and regulations. Requirements: 1. Have at least 1-year managerial experience leading a crew in all aspects of landscaping and have experience working on a landscaping crew. 2. Possess knowledge of and ability to identify ornamental trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals and their pruning and maintenance requirements. 3. Diagnose insect/disease issues and apply IPM/organic techniques to provide solutions. 4. Have a professional attitude, with a focus on stellar client service. 5. Have working knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance and repair. 6. Follow Mad Hatter safety procedures and know how to safely operate equipment. 7. Have valid Oregon driver’s license, clean driving record, fully Covid 19 vaccinated, fluent in spoken and written English and pass criminal history check.
