REDFISH-SNOOK-TROUT Fishing Tournament with $2500+ in PRIZES All day event open to the public. Benefit for education. The Matlacha Hookers are proud to host the: 22nd ANNUAL PINE ISLAND ELEMENTARY FISHING TOURNAMENT & DERBY              Sunday, November 7th, 2021Adults must register for the tournament on the "iAngler" app. https://www.ianglertournament.com/2021-pine-island-elementary-fishing-tournament-derby. You have until 6pm Saturday, November 6th when the Captains meeting will be at the Olde Fish House Marina in Matlacha. It's required for the Team's captain or one of the anglers from the team to attend the meeting . Light fare will be provided by the Olde Fish House Restaurant for the Captains Meeting and will have raffles, 50/50, cold beverages, and go over the rules and regulations for the following day's fishing C.P.R regulations. Team's will pick up their bags stocked full of goodies including a tournament shirt for each member of their team! For $75 an angler, you get to have a great time on the water, then enjoy live music, raffles, silent auction, cold beverages and B.B.Q. with all the fixin's back at the Olde Fish House. Teams can be on the water at 7am with an honor start, where you will be catching your fish and submitting photo's for a "TOTAL INCHES" tournament on the "iAngler" app!! Fishing for cash prizes for the longest Snook, Redfish and Trout. The longest combined length of all three species will be awarded the Grand Slam. Over the last decade, we have donated over $200,000 which allowed for after school tutoring, stocking their library, supporting educational field trips, providing supplemental educational materials, and scholarships. The MATLACHA HOOKERS are a 501c3 charitable organization and our mission statement is to "Make a Positive Difference in Our Community". And we do!  Each year we give financial support to other organizations with our fundraising activities. We donate to the FOOD PANTRY; provide SCHOOL SUPPLIES; contribute to the HOLIDAY HOUSE; sing christmas carols for the SENIOR BASKET BRIGADE; and participate in BLOOD DRIVES. We volunteer at events such as Mango Mania; Adopt-a-Road clean-up; 4th of July Parade; Chamber events; Breast Fest; Meals on Wheels; Taste of Pine Island; and Art Fest. We grant small financial requests and Scholorships to graduates. Since 2003 the Matlacha Hookers have awarded over $150,000.00 in scholarships.Yearly we have dedicated fundraisers that we plan and run like the PINE ISLAND ELEMENTARY FISHING TOURNAMENT & DERBY; the BAG-N-TAG; and a WINE TASTING EVENT that benefits the Greater Pine Island Community.
