The inaugural Youth Grantmaking Board (that's right-- teens are leaders in philanthropy here!) invites you to its first annual celebration We hope you will join us to commemorate a successful and impactful first year of our Youth Grantmaking Board (YGB). We will have hors d'oeuvres, drinks, live music, presentations from the board members and our grantees, as well as an opportunity to give to the YGB fund and help this program thrive next year. Everyone is invited to attend! Teens, parents, non-profit leaders, volunteers, current and future philanthropists, church members, potential future YGB leaders, and anyone else who thinks that high school students + grantmaking = amazing! (Those who are skeptical are welcome as well, we'll introudce you to our board). Help the Youth Grantmaking Board continue to fund impactful projects in our community! Thank you! In 2021, the board selected food security and literacy as their funding priorities. They voted to award grants totalling $15,000 to the seven organizations listed below: We are so excited to see what direction the 2022 YGB will take-- they will select new funding priorities, issue a new call for proposals, and will award new grants to change-makers in our community.
