Description

A celebration of Korean culture with food, vendors, and performances The Korean Festival has become an integral part of New York City tradition, celebrating diversity and offering New Yorkers the opportunity to participate in unique aspects of Korean culture. Held annually in the heart of Manhattan, it is is an opportunity for Korean-Americans to cultivate and reaffirm their identity, and to share various facets of Korean culture with New York City. The festival will feature the best of local businesses and vendors, as well as traditional Korean cultural performances. This year, the Korean Festival will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Union Square Park (New York City). This, along with many other Korean cultural events, is hosted by the Korean American Association of Greater New York (KAAGNY). KAAGNY oversees the funding and operational aspects of hosting the Korean Festival, including obtaining the necessary permits and insurance, as well installing a large stage and booths. It is impossible for a non-profit organization like KAAGNY to lead this special event without the support and participation of our corporate sponsors and community-based organizations. Over the years, the Korean Festival has been very successful, with each year averaging about 100,000 viewers and participants. This year, our aim is to do even better. We look forward to your invaluable support and participation.
