Join local historians from the Museum of North Idaho as your tour Forest Cemetery and learn about the people who are buried there. Forest Cemetery, located at 1011 Government Way in Coeur d'Alene, was originally owned by the U.S. Army at Fort Sherman when it was active from 1878 to 1901. There are two cemetery walking tour options: A Daylight Walking Tour will take place on Saturday, October 23rd at 1:30 pm. This tour is more family friendly but still offers all of the great historical information on the people who are buried in the cemetery. For those looking for a spookier experience, join our Flashlight Walking Tour on Friday, October 29th at 5:30 pm. Once the sun sets, our tour guides will escort you through the grounds guided only by flashlight as you travel back in time to learn the stories of those who are buried beneath your feet. Each tour is one hour long and meets at Forest Cemetery. Tickets are $10 each and must be purchased in advance through EventBrite or at the Museum of North Idaho located at 115 Northwest Boulevard in Coeur d'Alene.
