A full day class for beginners and others interested in doing welding, metal fabrication, or metal sculpture. Learn the basics of Welding! The structure of the class is generally: Safety overviewSetting up the shopHands-on with metal tools(about 30 minutes for lunch)Hands-on with welding toolsPractice timeCleaning up the shopInstructor Contact: [email protected] Experience Level: All are welcome! WHAT TO BRING: During COVID: fabric facial covering, and optionally your own welding PPE: welding gloves, welding mask, safety glasses, and ear muffs. We do have enough for everyone to borrow, but we understand if you prefer your own.Lunch (or purchase nearby)Water (closed-top bottle preferred)Outdoor-appropriate clothing (our class is held outdoors, rain or shine)Clothing should be natural fibers: long sleeves, jeans and closed-toe shoes--natural leather, preferably. (Synthetic fabrics like polyester/rayon/nylon can melt.)Cancellation Policy: This class has a minimum attendance of 2 and a maximum attendance of 4, all attendees must register 72 hours in advance. We're a community of makers, artists, engineers and creatives of all types who love to share, learn and work together. We are located in a 3,000 sq.ft. facility with 4,000 sq.ft. exterior space at 6791 Sebastopol Ave. Suite #180 in downtown Sebastopol, California. Our facility includes space and tools for electronics, jewelry, 3D printing, laser cutting, metalworking, welding, crafts/textiles, woodworking and more!
